Job description

Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician I in Lancaster and Reading, Pennsylvania (PA) to work for a reputable and growing medical facility. The Biomedical Equipment Technician III will play a significant role in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining critical life saving medical equipment.
Responsibilities for the Biomedical Equipment Technician I include:
โ€ข Maintain clinical equipment in compliance with the Medical Equipment Management Plan and Joint Commission Standards.
โ€ข Perform a variety of routine tasks associated with medical equipment maintenance, inspection, installation, preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of simple equipment such as IV pumps, etc.
โ€ข Document all work using applicable computer programs.
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the Biomedical Equipment Technician I include:
โ€ข Associate degree in Biomedical or Electronics/Technology or equivalent military training.
โ€ข 1-3 years of related experience.
โ€ข Ability to identify basic issues, problems and take the appropriate action as required by manufacturers specifications.
โ€ข Familiar with the hospital, medical clinic environment
โ€ข Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
