Job Summary: The Quality Engineer is responsible for analyzing and improving product and process quality by conducting inspections, tests, and quality engineering reviews. They develop and implement quality assurance programs, perform statistical analyses, and lead initiatives like process failure modes effects analysis (PFMEA) and production part approval processes (PPAP). This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards, documenting and communicating findings, and recommending process improvements. They maintain, execute, and create CMM programs. Additionally, the Quality Engineer maintains knowledge of relevant quality codes and standards and supports continuous improvement efforts to enhance product reliability and manufacturing precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Analysis & Improvement:
  • Conduct inspections and tests to evaluate product and process quality.
  • Perform quality engineering reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Maintain, execute, and create CMM programs.

Statistical Analysis:
  • Perform statistical analyses to monitor and improve quality performance.
  • Use statistical tools to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and dashboards to track progress.

Leadership Initiatives:
  • Lead initiatives such as process failure modes effects analysis (PFMEA) to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee production part approval processes (PPAP) for purchased components and in-house products to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required.
  • Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) are preferred.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate strong knowledge of quality standards, such as ISO 9001:2015, and experience with tools like statistical process control (SPC), process failure modes effects analysis (PFMEA), and production part approval processes (PPAP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and lean methodologies is essential, along with strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Physical Demands:
  • Extended periods of sitting at a workstation.
  • Speaking in person and over the telephone or Teams online and the ability to hear, comprehend, and document detailed information from others.
  • Ability to type, reach and grasp.
  • Intermittent standing and walking within the plant environment.

  • Ability to work in manufacturing sites, including foundries, steel mills, machine shops, forging shops, assembly centers, etc.
