Description:

Primary responsibility will be to support all facets of a Prüfcubing Loop including planning, hardware preparation, problem documentation and root cause analysis. After each loop, the co-op will support the TX-52 Product Integration teams, following problems identified in the cubing though the problem solving process.

  • Preparing Parts and Tooling for the Day's Build.
  • Validating the quality level of the parts delivered for the Cubing Loop.
  • Clear and Concise documentation of the defects found during the Cubing loop.
  • Containment tracking for critical defects found during the cubing loop.
  • Exposure to all departments and management levels in the plant.
  • Opportunity to learn and participate in the Metrology function.
  • Opportunities to work with the supply base supporting BMW.
  • Hands on experience building the vehicle as well as problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Exposure to the production line for Bodyshop and Assembly.

Qualifications:

  • Major: Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering
  • Good Communication and technical writing Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and Power point
  • Self-Motivated and able to work independently
  • German Language Skills(preferred)
  • Experience with CAD Software(preferred)
  • German language is a plus
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week)
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE January 11th - May 14th, 2027.
