Job description

Dialysis Biomedical Technician - Acute Detroit - 40 hours/week
Address: 2799 W. Grand Blvd. Detroit MI, 48202
GENERAL SUMMARY:
  • Primarily responsible for the maintenance of dialysis equipment, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and general care of the machines.
  • Travels to any of the GHS units as needed.
  • May participate in on-call rotation for technical aspects of acute dialysis program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Associates degree in electronics/biomedical technology, or two years' equivalent experience, to include military, original equipment manufacturer (OEM), or industry recognized technical training program, required.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and analytical skills for understanding electronic circuitry and for trouble-shooting biomedical/electronic equipment. Proven use of basic electronic testing equipment. Completion of a B.M.E.T. internship is preferred.
