Position Overview 

ACT Biomed is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electronics Technician Aide to support our biomedical equipment maintenance, testing, and repair operations. 

This entry-level position assists senior biomedical technicians with routine service tasks, equipment setup, troubleshooting, and documentation. It is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning a career in electronics, biomedical equipment technology, or engineering support. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist technicians with diagnosing and repairing electronic and biomedical equipment 
• Support installation, testing, and calibration of biomedical equipment and electronic assemblies 
• Perform basic inspection and preventive maintenance tasks 
• Prepare tools, materials, and workstations for repairs and service projects 
• Assist with assembling wiring harnesses, cables, and circuit boards under supervision 
• Use basic electronic test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and measurement tools 
• Maintain organized work areas, tools, and parts inventory 
• Document work performed and update service records or maintenance logs 
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies 
• Occasionally accompany technicians on service visits to healthcare facilities 

Required Qualifications 

• High school diploma or GED 
• Basic understanding of computers, electronics, circuits, or electrical systems 
• Ability to read simple schematics or diagrams (or willingness to learn) 
• Comfortable using hand tools and basic electronic test equipment 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions 
• Good communication and teamwork skills 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Enrollment in or completion of an Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, or Biomedical Equipment Technology program 
• Hands-on experience from school, hobby projects, internships, or previous work 
• Interest in healthcare technology or medical equipment repair 
• Familiarity with workplace safety standards 

Working Conditions 

• On-site role working with electronic and biomedical equipment 
• May involve sitting, standing, bending, and handling small components 
• Occasional lifting of equipment up to 30–40 lbs 
• Some local travel to healthcare facilities may be required 
• Requires reliable transportation with a clean driving record
