Job description

Job Summary:
Moffitt Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida, dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer. They are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in omics data science to contribute to the development of statistical methods and software for analyzing complex omics datasets.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development of statistical and machine learning methods to analyze, annotate and integrate complex omics datasets.
• Build open-source software to ease the data analysis across omics modalities.
• Address questions including: heterogeneity removal in genomic sequencing data, enhancer function dissection with large epigenomic data modeling, DNA oncovirus mechanisms with cross-modality integration.
• Expand research in statistical modeling in spatial omics, AI models in translational pathology, and machine learning in clonal hematopoiesis evolution.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics or a related field.
• Highly motivated and passionate about biomedical data science
• Strong background in machine learning and/or statistics
• Proficient programming and scientific writing
• Experienced in omics data processing
• Excellent communication skills
