Job description

We are seeking a senior-level Data Governance and Master Data Management expert to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maturity of enterprise data governance and master data management capabilities.

In this role, you will establish governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models that ensure data is accurate, consistent, secure, compliant, and fit for business use.

You will partner with business and technical stakeholders across the organization to define data ownership, stewardship, and decision-rights models; drive enterprise master data strategy across key domains such as customer, product, supplier, and location; and oversee data quality, metadata, reference data, and lifecycle management practices. This a remote role.ย 

This position requires strong leadership in identifying data risks, improving data controls, enabling regulatory compliance, and supporting trusted reporting and analytics.ย 

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead enterprise data governance and MDM strategy, roadmap, and execution

- Define and maintain governance policies, standards, procedures, and decision-making structures

- Establish and support data stewardship, ownership, and accountability frameworks

- Drive data quality improvement, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and control design

- Manage master data, metadata, business glossary, and reference data practices

- Collaborate with business, IT, compliance, security, and analytics teams to align data priorities

- Support implementation and optimization of governance and MDM tools and platforms

- Monitor KPIs and report on governance maturity, data quality trends, and risks

- Promote continuous improvement in enterprise data management practices

Qualifications typically include deep experience in data governance, MDM, data quality, metadata management, and enterprise data strategy, along with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives in a complex organization.
