Position Summary
The Biology Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in biological sciences courses, including both lecture and laboratory formats. The role supports student learning through traditional and online modalities, including asynchronous instruction. The instructor contributes to the academic mission of the college by maintaining instructional standards and engaging in departmental activities.

Instruction
• Teach biology courses in both lecture and laboratory formats

• Complete required distance learning training within the first semester of employment
• Maintain accurate student records and submit required reports

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree in Biology or a related field; or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in a qualifying biological science discipline; or a medical degree (M.D., D.O., D.P.M., or D.V.M.)
• Willingness to teach both lecture and laboratory courses in an asynchronous online format
• Commitment to complete required distance learning training during the first semester of employment
• Preferred: College-level teaching experience in both online and in-person settings
• Must pass employment verification, reference screening, and a background check

• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff
Ergonomic Requirements
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to use a computer and instructional technology for prolonged periods
• Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and online environments
