We are looking for Manager, Commercial Consulting to join our Life Sciences and Healthcare Commercial Consulting team in Tokyo Office. This role responsible for active engagement in consulting projects, encompassing in-depth data analysis, comprehensive research, and support in developing actionable insights and strategic recommendations. The team consists of 20 team members across APAC. We would love to speak with you if you have skills in commercial consulting.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant field

  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Lead and mentor a team of consultants within the commercial consulting practice, focusing on their professional development and enhancing their skills to meet customer needs.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure that customer objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the consulting team, promoting their growth and professional advancement while maintaining high standards of project execution.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their concerns, managing expectations, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposal writing, preparing customer presentations, and identifying new opportunities for growth.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and operational decision-making to align team efforts with broader business objectives.

  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Represent the consulting team's interests in customer discussions and organization-wide decision-making, advocating for team needs and project priorities.

  • Drive team performance and contribute to achieving departmental goals by setting clear objectives, providing feedback, and ensuring alignment with practice targets.

  • Recruit, train and supervise a team of consultants, providing them with feedback, coaching and career development opportunities.

  • Lead, direct and review the team's work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with measurable contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team and department.

  • Establish and communicate team goals that support and advance team and department objectives; establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress.

  • Understand and explain policies, practices and procedures within immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside of the team.

  • Deliver consistent and timely training, guidance and feedback to encourage and promote colleague success and growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities.

  • Provide primary input and recommendations on staffing decisions for the team.

Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position in Tokyo office, primarily working core business hours in Japan time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.

  • This is a hybrid position working in the office up to 2 days a week.

Relocation sponsorship is available for candidates outside Japan.

Compensation - US Only

The expected base salary for this position is$11,250,000 -$16,250,000 JPY per year.This role is eligible for bonus earnings.Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability,expertise,and relevant factors.
