Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Scientist/Senior Research Scientist to join our Oncology Drug Discovery team in a hands-on, laboratory-based role. This individual will play a key role in advancing early-stage discovery programs, from target validation through lead optimization and translational research, with a focus on developing novel therapeutics for cancer treatment.

This is a wet-lab bench position, where the successful candidate will design and execute experiments directly and independently, generate high-quality data, and contribute to scientific strategy. The ideal candidate brings deep experimental expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a strong track record of translating biological insights into therapeutic strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Independently design and execute hands-on wet-lab experiments, including cell-based and molecular assays, to support oncology drug discovery programs.

Drive novel target identification and validation, including mechanistic studies, to support strategic decision-making across discovery programs.

Lead and perform in vitro and in vivo studies, independently generating and analyzing experimental data.

Design, develop, and optimize robust cell-based or biochemical assays to support target validation and drug discovery efforts.

Compile, analyze, and clearly present experimental and scientific data to the biology team to support scientific discussions and decision-making.

Interpret complex datasets and provide scientific insights to the biology team.

Perform independent literature review to guide experimental design and apply findings to support hands-on research and program progression.

Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies and experimental approaches.

Maintain detailed experimental records and ensure high-quality, reproducible data generation.

Collaborate closely within the biology team and interface with chemistry, translational, bioinformatics, and other interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology or related field. 2-5 years of relevant post-doctoral experience and/or 0-3 years pharmaceutical industry experience. Strong background in oncology biology. Significant hands-on experience with a broad range of cell-based assays and molecular techniques. Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with small molecules, targeted protein degradation, or biologics research and/or drug discovery.
