Job description

Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) seeks a certified and licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologists (NMT) to support operations at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System at 11201 Benton St., Loma Linda, CA 92357. The NMT will perform most examinations independently. They will also be subject to the same quality assurance standards to meet or exceed current recognized national standards established by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
Schedule: TBD. Full-time and PRN opportunities are anticipated.

Responsibilities
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of Nuclear Medicine scanning and optimizing examination potential.
  • Collects and communicates all pertinent clinical information to the Radiologist. Correctly identifies the patient per Imaging Service protocol and explains exams to the patients.
  • Completes all necessary patient questionnaires and interviews before the exam or procedure.
  • Reviews all documentation for completeness and appropriateness. Contacts the Radiologist with any questions before proceeding with exams.
  • Is knowledgeable of, observes, and follows all established Nuclear Medicine safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintains compliance with all procedures per applicable VA written policies, procedures, and bylaws of the medical staff and protocols.
  • Completes all assigned training and documentation requirements

Qualifications
  • NMTs must be certified in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (N).
  • Must have at least two (2) years of work experience in the specialized modality and be able to work with minimal or no supervision.
  • Must have experience with all related examinations and procedures, including advanced modalities.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - AHA.
  • Experience with Siemens (Biograph PET/CT and Symbia Intevo) nuclear medicine scanners is preferred
  • Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), experience with AGFA Enterprise Imaging (EI) and/or IMPAX is preferred but not required as training will be provided.
  • Must hold a Venipuncture certification.
  • Must have demonstrable experience in starting Intravenous (IV) and contrast injections.
  • Must fluently read, write, and speak English.
  • No sponsorship available

All candidates must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
