Licensed Massage Therapist

Job description

Seeking a talented and experienced Licensed Massage Therapist to work at a spa in Tempe, AZ. Astonished! Massage & Facial Spa LLC opened two years ago, and we're growing quickly.

Unlike most spas, Astonished! Spa is a therapist-led company, meaning that our therapists use their knowledge and skill set to choose how each session is performed. We are not a corporate "cookie-cutter" type of spa, where you are instructed to do the same type of massage over and over again. I want you to take the lead and work on each customer how you believe they should be worked on.

I'm David, the owner, and also a Licensed Massage Therapist. I know what it's like to work for a spa and have them tell me exactly what to do and how to do it, so much to the point where I feel like I'm mindlessly rubbing people in a manner that a robot would. I also never appreciated doing the work and letting them keep most of the money earned from MY hard work. So I created a different kind of company that gives therapists freedom to perform their craft, the opportunity to build a solid career for themselves, and the chance to earn a respectable income.

Starting pay is $30 per hour of bodywork + you always keep 100% of your tips. Additionally, to invest in the longevity of the massage therapists who work here, I offer raises and bonuses based on performance length of time employed. I also offer Medical Insurance reimbursement for full time therapists (Full Time = 35+ hours of availability per week).

We are open 7 days a week, but our busiest days are Friday - Sunday., so we appreciate when therapists have weekend availability.

Services we offer include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Sports and Couple's Massages (which consist of whatever modality the customer desires). We also offer cupping, hot stones, Peppermint Scalp Massage, Aromatherapy and BioFreeze treatment as some of our enhancements.

If you're interested in working here and eager to earn your worth in the industry, please apply!

~David
