Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design and conduct experiments related to the development of new products/technologies, product improvement and/or bioprocessing.
  • Plan, design and conduct experiments for the characterization of antibodies and therapeutic proteins.
  • Support marketing and new products through data acquisition, preparation of presentations, publications, collaborative studies, interactions with key customers and as a participant in conferences.
  • Support customer facing projects through data analysis and preparing presentations.
  • Contribute to the generation of new project/product ideas.
  • Learn, maintain and advance expertise in areas relevant to company's products and strategic goals.

Required Skills/Education:
  • M.S. with minimum of 8 years relevant working experience or Ph.D. with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Life Science, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related science.
  • Minimum 2 to 8 years of relevant working experience with M.S. or Ph.D. with emphasis in biochemistry and cell biology.
  • Extensive mammalian cell culture experience required.
  • Solid scientific and technical knowledge in metabolic pathways, general chemistry, and cell biology
  • Experience with product development and launch.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of laboratory instrumentation in cell biology.
  • Proficient computer and statistical skills.
  • Some knowledge of cell culture medium components and cell culture media development a plus.
  • Tabletop bioreactor experience a plus
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Superb organizational skills.
  • Ability to speak read and write English proficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Salary and Benefits:
  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $103,000 - $115,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
