Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs routine experiments related to specific research projects and participates in other activities appropriate for carrying out research objectives. Conducts experiments and collects data and provides routine analysis of data to the Principal Investigator (PI). May be asked to read and understand literature in the field. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, molecular biology, or a closely related field, to be familiar with research terminology and scientific techniques. 
  • Laboratory experience in a stated area of scientific specialty while at college/university preferred. 
  • Manual dexterity to operate complex equipment. 
  • Familiarity with statistical and research methodology is desirable.
