Job description

Job Description
The bioanalytical contractor position is responsible for performing quantitative analysis of various biological samples in Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department at the Vertex San Diego site.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a Chemistry wet lab environment with exposure to SPOC, Mass Spectrometry, Spectrometry, In Vitro Assays and Automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide bioanalytical support for various DMPK studies.
  • Perform quantitative analysis of small molecules and metabolites in plasma, blood, urine, bile, feces and various tissues using liquid chromatograph-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) method.
  • Perform in vitro incubation/analysis to assess the binding of small molecules to proteins.
  • Perform routine LC/MS/MS instrument maintenance, develop and trouble-shoot LC/MS/MS method.
  • Provide general supports for the lab and/or other scientists as needed (eg, prepare of mobile phases, organize freezer/fridge, laboratory cleaning, etc)

Minimum Requirements:
  • B.S. in a Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field with 0-2+ years relevant experiences in bioanalysis using LC/MS/MS.
  • Strong attention to details, good record keeping, a team player
  • Experiences with ADME assays are a plus.

Pay Range
$28-$35/hr
