Job description

As a Quality Control Technician II, you will support the testing and documentation needs of the Quality Control department during the manufacture and release of Bio-Rad control products. This position will work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
This position is for a second-shift technician (Hours: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm)
Location: This position must be based in Irvine, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.
How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot QC laboratory instruments.
  • Follow good laboratory practices.
  • Order supplies and maintain instrument preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Interface with other departments when required.
  • Evaluate assay runs for accuracy and acceptability to Quality Control procedures.
  • Enter results into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) as required.
What You Bring:
  • Associate's degree or higher in a science field or equivalent clinical lab experience
  • 3+ years of QC or clinical laboratory experience
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Systems and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Experience in the use of clinical laboratory techniques and equipment. Experience in running chemistry, hematology, and immunoassay analyzers a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required. Experience with a LIMS is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, remain flexible, manage time effectively and work independently.
