Job description

Overview

Bio-Rad Washington's Facilities Manager oversees maintenance and operations for building, R&D, and manufacturing process equipment. This includes but is not limited to facility and process equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and workplace services, with the goal of minimizing downtime, ensuring continuous operations, maintaining building functionality, and reducing service disruptions for internal customers.

This role is responsible for planning and managing the departmental budget, as well as directly supervising the Manufacturing and Equipment Maintenance team and contracted service providers. It also has primary accountability for keeping facility and manufacturing equipment at optimal performance levels through proactive monitoring, reliability analysis, rapid issue resolution, and compliance with company policies and quality systems.

 

How You'll Make An Impact: 

  • Manage and direct all building operations and maintenance activities for the Bio-Rad sites located in Woodinville and Maltby.
  • Support ongoing Plant needs related to Facilities and Manufacturing equipment.
  • Lead, develop and provide direct Supervision for a team of Maintenance Associates and technicians to include direction of vendors for specific work areas and expertise.
  • Create, track and maintain Maintenance Department expenses and budgets.
  • Oversee the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.

What You Bring: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Construction or Management discipline.
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of progressive responsibility in Facility and Equipment Management with 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of building and equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to read and analyze building drawings and equipment system diagrams.
  • Experience with instrument repair, mechanical tools, and safety regulations.
  • Experience leading and developing strong teams.

Location: This position must be based in Woodinville, Washington and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $129,800 to $178,400 annually, at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of the offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon the achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
