POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking Behavioral Health Therapists for our clinic locations in Altgeld Gardens, Hegewisch, and Hammond. The Behavioral Health Therapist is a member of the interdisciplinary team and contributes to the comprehensive health care services offered by TCA Health. The Behavioral Health Therapist provides services to individuals, families, and groups to assist with improvement of social functioning and maximizing strengths. The Therapist interacts and interfaces with the community in diverse roles of advocacy and overall planning for service utilization. This position may be a regular full-time or a regular part-time employee. This position will be on-site.
Behavioral Health Therapist Responsibilities
  • Perform bio-psychosocial assessments and diagnosis of behavioral health clients.
  • Provide effective treatment planning to assist clients in successfully achieving goals.
  • Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions.
  • Assist in the detection of "at risk" patients and the development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
  • Initiate treatment interventions in individual, family, and/or group counseling settings.
  • Effectively and clearly document client interactions and referrals in a timely manner as required.
  • Completes all necessary statistical reports and attend to accuracy.
  • Regularly participate in Behavioral Health Department, TCA Health Staff, and other meetings as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Active Illinois License in good standing (LCSW or LCPC) for Altgeld Gardens and Hegewisch locations
  • Active Indiana License in good standing (LCSW, LCPC, or equivalent) if Hammond location is preferred
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology
