  • Start and finish your shift at home, working on-call for 7 nights in a row (5pm-8am,) Monday-Sunday and then enjoy the next 7 days completely off. This schedule means you only work 26 weeks per year while being paid a full-time salary—giving you half the year off with full-time pay.
  • Unlike many other roles, there are no additional on-call requirements. Your schedule is set, so you can plan your personal life with confidence.
  • Our territories are optimized to ensure manageable drive times, so we can meet the specialized and urgent needs of our patient.
  • This schedule provides more dedicated time at home, making it ideal for individuals who want to spend more quality time with their loved ones. With 7 days off in a row, you'll have more time for yourself and your family.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting patient care needs after-hours, including urgent admissions, symptom management, and other patient needs. Think of a triage/emergency room nurse for hospice patients' after-hours in homes, facilities, and residential care communities in your neighborhood.
  • Providing positive, supportive communication to physicians, NPs, our hospice case managers, patients, and families.

In this role, you will not be responsible for:

  • Triaging of patients, our after-hours RNs are supported by our triage team who dispatch our RNs only when an in-person visit is required.
  • An assigned "Case Load" of patients requiring a "Case Manager"
  • On-going management of hospice patients. You will be working as a "emergency room" nurse for hospice patients, in your community.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, Baccalaureate, or Masters Degree in Nursing
  • Current State License as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of one year nursing experience in a clinical care setting
  • Demonstrates clinical nursing competencies in accordance with accepted standards of practice
  • Able to assess and respond appropriately to the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients, families, and caregivers
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to support patients and families facing end-of-life issues
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities, documentation requirements, and time-sensitive responsibilities efficiently
  • Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Hospice or home health experience preferred

Pay Range
$72,000—$78,000 USD
