Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist to enhance our outpatient psychiatric practice located in Newport News, Virginia. This full-time remote position allows mental health professionals to provide essential therapeutic services to clients grappling with eating disorders in a supportive and innovative environment. You will work regular business hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. • Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' eating disorders, associated mental health conditions, and treatment needs, ensuring a holistic understanding of their situations.
• Collaborate with clients to formulate individualized and actionable treatment plans based on assessment outcomes, focusing on achievable recovery goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, and ACT in individual and group therapy sessions to address maladaptive beliefs related to body image, food, and self-worth.
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions focused on rebuilding clients' relationships with food and their bodies, encouraging positive self-esteem and emotional regulation.
• Empower clients to develop healthy coping mechanisms and strategies to resist disordered eating patterns, monitoring their progress along the way.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care plans, ensuring comprehensive support for each client's multifaceted needs.
• Provide psychoeducation sessions for clients and their families to enhance awareness and understanding of eating disorders, contributing to a supportive recovery atmosphere.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal requirements.
• Participate actively in team meetings, professional development activities, and case discussions to continuously improve clinical competency and therapeutic approaches.

This role primarily focuses on adolescents and adults suffering from various eating disorders. You will engage with clients who face significant challenges in their relationships with food and self-image. Your expertise in managing co-occurring mental health issues will greatly benefit clients on their recovery journey.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is necessary for this position.
• Demonstrable experience and expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities specific to eating disorders, including CBT, DBT, and ACT.
• A comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding eating disorders, their treatment, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to forge strong therapeutic relationships with clients, fostering trust and engagement.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting, particularly focusing on eating disorders, is preferred.
• Experience with tele-therapy and remote client engagement strategies.
• A track record of conducting psychoeducational workshops or support groups for clients and their families.

• Attractive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and area of specialization.
