Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BIM Specialist to lead CAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) efforts across aerospace, industrial, and federal projects, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems and complementary mechanical experience. This role will oversee BIM implementation, ensure compliance with federal and client standards, and drive innovation in design coordination and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead BIM project setup and execution using Revit and AutoCAD platforms.
  • Act as Lead CAD/BIM Focal (Point of Contact) for major aerospace/industrial and federal clients
  • Take full ownership of adhering to client standards and holding the design team accountable to the standards.
  • Develop and maintain CAD/BIM tool palettes, templates, and execution plans based on client standards and requirements.
  • Manage BIM deliverables, budgets, and resource allocation across a wide variety of projects.
  • Conduct advanced clash detection and interdisciplinary coordination, especially for electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Provide production support and training to project teams.
  • Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to optimize BIM workflows and tools.
  • Research and implement emerging BIM technologies and tools.


Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in BIM/CAD, preferably in aerospace, industrial, federal, or infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Skills: Expert in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and related platforms.
  • Preferred Certifications: Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit or AutoCAD.
  • Education: High school diploma or associate degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM standards (IFC, COBie), parametric modeling, and construction methodologies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Skilled at mentoring, cross-team collaboration, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.
