  • Produce coordinated installation, shop, and prefabrication drawings based on contract documents.
  • Perform clash detection and coordinate with other trades to identify and resolve conflicts before construction.
  • Review project drawings and specifications to ensure models accurately reflect design intent and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and VDC teams to incorporate design updates and field revisions.
  • Create layout drawings, sleeve drawings, hanger drawings, and other installation details to support field operations.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings with general contractors, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Maintain model accuracy throughout the project lifecycle, including revisions and as-built documentation.
  • Follow company BIM standards, modeling best practices, and project schedules to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler, BIM Detailer, VDC Designer, or in a similar role within commercial construction.
  • Hands-on experience modeling electrical systems for commercial projects, preferably in healthcare, institutional, or other large-scale facilities.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction methods, including conduit routing, equipment layouts, and installation sequencing.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience performing clash detection and coordinating models across multiple trades.
  • Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent experience in drafting, BIM, electrical design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Commercial electrical BIM experience is required; candidates with only residential BIM experience will not be considered.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Professional growth opportunities
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment
