Billing Specialist
Summary: The Billing Specialist is responsible for maintaining adequate cash flow to maintain center operations and is expected to interact with staff members in a professional manner in order to meet patient and Center billing needs.
Hours: This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work a flexible schedule. General daytime hours Monday - Friday.
Location: Marlton, NJ
Position Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Posting payments and adjustments accurately and timely from third party billing sources into computer system
  • Follow-up/collections on denied claims from all third party carriers as back up only
  • Responds to claim inquiry requests from all third party carriers as back up only
  • Maintains accurate filing system
  • Scrubs previous day's encounters to ensure CPT& ICD code accuracy before submission to third party carriers
  • Filing lockbox/Receivables ensuring totals from daily cash receipts match deposits
  • Reset log from adjusting patient account
  • Generates and mails insurance claim forms to third party insurances
  • Fax Request on Patient (Statement Account) to Attorney's Office

Experience and Skills
  • 1 to 2 years of related work experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Strong computer skills: experience with Navinet, NJMMIS, and EPIC preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent: Certificate or diploma from a medical training course preferred
