Job Overview:

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Billing Consultant to support billing operations and ensure billing accuracy across multiple systems. This individual will review and validate billing information, manage billing-related tickets, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate issue resolution efforts across Finance, Operations, Customer Service, and IT teams.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate billing records, timely issue resolution, and efficient billing processes.


Key Responsibilities


  • Review and validate billing data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor, prioritize, and manage billing-related tickets through resolution
  • Investigate billing discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues
  • Maintain and update billing records while ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Document billing issues, resolutions, and process updates
  • Support testing and validation efforts related to billing process changes and system enhancements
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Customer Service, and IT teams to support billing activities and resolve issues
  • Assist with reporting activities and utilize Power BI dashboards to monitor billing performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support audits, reconciliations, and data cleanup initiatives
  • Track progress of billing issues and provide updates to stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency and reducing billing errors
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Billing Operations team


Must Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in billing operations, billing support, financial operations, accounts receivable, or a related field
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, filtering, formulas, and data validation
  • Experience reviewing and validating large volumes of billing, customer, or financial data
  • Experience utilizing ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, or similar platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity across multiple systems
