We are looking for aBilling Associate to join our team!


As part of the Finance and Accounting team, the Billing Associate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. Reporting to the Finance & Accounting Associate, this individual will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day billing workflows, partnering closely with Sales, Finance, and Client Success while ensuring a seamless, accurate, and timely client billing experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the end-to-end billing process, including invoice generation, adjustments, credits, revenue tracking, and complex client-specific billing arrangements.
  • Ensure accurate billing for advertising campaigns, sponsorships, digital products, and related services while maintaining compliance with revenue recognition policies and accounting standards.
  • Provide accurate invoice and billing data to support revenue recognition and deferred revenue processes
  • Prepare billing reports and assist with related account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure service-level expectations are met and ensure timely completion of billing cycles
  • Monitor billing records for discrepancies, investigate root causes, and escalate findings for resolution
  • Follow established, and participate in improving, accounting processes and documentation
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to validate contracts, insertion orders, and pricing structures
  • Support month-end close by preparing billing-related reports and reconciliations
  • Work with client services teams to resolve billing disputes and inquiries professionally and promptly
  • Utilize Excel, ERP reporting tools, and AI-enabled productivity methods to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflow automation
  • Perform other billing and accounting-related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or revenue operations experience
  • Experience in media, advertising, digital publishing, or B2B services is an asset
  • Understanding of revenue recognition principles
  • Ability to leverage AI tools and effective prompting techniques to improve efficiency, reporting quality, and analytical output


Experience & Skills:

  • ERP Experience (NetSuite, etc.)
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and CRM platforms
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process discipline
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
