How this role supports our mission:

The Retail District Manager provides strategic direction and oversees operations of multiple retail stores in a designated region. Leads Store Managers and Managers in Training in the region with the goal of improving operations, productivity, sales, and financial performance. Ensures the highest level of customer service, oversees talent management and communication, enforces policies and procedures, and maximizes the workforce to achieve optimum results.

As a key member of the leadership team, the DM fosters a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, inclusion, and purpose-driven service. By cultivating strong, collaborative teams and an engaged workforce across all assigned retail locations, this leader ensures that our values are reflected in every aspect of our operations.

What we require from you:

Special requirements:

  • 7 years' work experience in Retail Management within a multiple store organization and Retail Buying, preferably thrift, or any combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) years’ multi-unit supervisory experience.
  • Ability to supervise training for a minimum of 60 people.
  • Requires ability to effectively supervise, train, motivate, evaluate, coach and administer discipline.

  • Provide hands-on training: In the retail area to enhance the marketing of each item with effective visual displays; In the retail area to effectively increase the sales of goods per retail square foot; In the production areas in accordance with Kaizen procedures to increase donation flow.
  • Ensure compliance with and the advancement of the Retail Training Program.
  • Main focus will be on employees; hiring, training, communicating, directing and follow up.
  • Develop daily/weekly/monthly schedule with the VP of Retail based on stores performance.
  • Develop drive-up donations, utilizing the most efficient means for handling the donations and assisting the donors.
  • Submit daily/weekly/monthly progress reports/audits to the VP of Retail.
  • Minimum work week is 45 hours; weekends and nights as needed or requested by supervisor.
  • Knowledgeable of labor laws.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft suite of products.
  • Ability to learn other computer programs, including but not limited to, timekeeping and point of sale systems.
  • Requires strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Requires an understanding of profit and loss statement, sales and cost management, ability to control expenses, including payroll, and ability to achieve targeted revenue goals.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 30 pounds, stand for long periods at a time; bend, reach and stretch repeatedly during a shift.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information related to operations, financial matters and personnel matters.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and environments.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow written and verbal instruction.
  • Possess current AZ driver’s license, and personal transportation with proof of auto insurance
