Position Overview

Wellcure Mental Therapeutic Clinic is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while providing essential therapeutic support to families in the Philadelphia area. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese, enhancing our capability to serve a diverse client base effectively.

Work Environment

Our outpatient setting allows our therapists to engage with clients in their homes or at our clinic, supporting a comfortable and familiar environment. We promote a structured yet flexible work culture, recognizing the importance of work-life balance, especially for our team members who provide therapy during after-school hours between 4 PM and 7 PM. Weekend availability is often advantageous, enhancing our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual therapy sessions tailored to each child’s specific needs, either in clients’ homes or at our outpatient clinic.
• Implement behavior analysis and positive behavior support strategies to address high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious actions or aggression.
• Facilitate the development of effective anger management and coping skills for children, while enhancing caregivers' decision-making skills to manage behavioral challenges in the home environment.
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals committed to improving the mental health outcomes for children and families.
• Complete all documentation, including treatment plans, intake assessments, and progress notes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Participate actively in monthly team meetings, offering insights and recommendations based on observed client progress and program efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on providing mental health services primarily to children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who exhibit developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). Our therapists work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring they receive culturally competent care that is sensitive to their unique needs and circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.
• A commitment to working a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours is essential; weekend flexibility is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience providing positive behavior support strategies is highly preferred.
• A background in working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a significant advantage.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for the purpose of travelling to client homes and community locations is necessary.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
