Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your daily tasks will include:

  • Conducting individual, couples, and family therapy sessions with a focus on culturally sensitive practices.
  • Assessing clients' needs through comprehensive interviews and psychological evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to guide therapy sessions.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) software, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss client progress and refine therapeutic techniques.
  • Engaging in outreach activities to promote services and connect with the local community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position serves a diverse clientele, including children, teens, and adults, with a focus on families facing relational challenges. You will have the opportunity to address a variety of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to trauma and grief, ensuring that each individualโ€™s unique cultural and personal needs are respected and addressed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • An active, unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Florida.
  • Strong bilingual (Spanish and English) communication skills, with the ability to provide psychotherapy services in both languages.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting, particularly with families and children.
  • A demonstrated ability to work respectfully and sensitively with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with one or more therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to CBT, TF-CBT, or EMDR.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and acting in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Proficiency in using EHR systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, or perinatal mental health is highly desirable.
  • A willingness to be an in-network provider for at least one insurance panel.
  • Experience providing telehealth services in a HIPAA-compliant manner.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 105,000 annually, reflective of experience and qualifications, along with a signing bonus. Additional benefits include flexible work hours, opportunities for professional development, and reimbursement for HIPAA training.
