Float Pharmacist
HealthCare Support is actively seeking to hire multiple Pharmacists to fill multiple openings in the Louisville Metro Area.
Daily Responsibilities for Float Pharmacist:
  • Must be comfortable giving annual / monthly vaccines to patients
  • Have a clinical focus to ensure that patients are adhering to their medications.
  • Provide patient education based on how they're taking their medication. Will also discuss any roadblocks on getting their medications refilled to ensure better compliance.
  • Possess knowledge of the pharmaceutical products and supplies kept in the department to be competent making recommendations to patients and prescribers.
  • Receive verbal RX orders and accurately reduce to writing in adherence with State and Federal laws and regulations.
  • Interpret, fill/refill, label and bag prescription orders.
  • Evaluate appropriateness of RX orders with consideration to patient safety, and legal requirements.
  • Provide drug counseling with customers and prescribers.
  • Be familiar with third party billing and procedures, facilitate charge for customer.
  • File prescription orders and records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Weekdays - Open from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Weekends - Open from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturdays 10 - 5 on Sundays
Required Qualifications for Pharmacist:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy - new grads welcome but on the lower end of the payscale
  • Clear and active KY Pharmacist License
  • KY Immunization Certification
Preferred Qualifications for Pharmacist:
  • 1+ years retail pharmacy experience
  • Bilingual Pharmacist in English/Spanish
