Job description

Hupp Family Agencies is hiring an experienced Bilingual Insurance Customer Service Representative who can confidently assist customers in both English and Spanish.

This is a full-time, in-office position for someone who already understands personal lines insurance and can handle customer service responsibilities such as policy changes, billing questions, renewals, documentation, retention, and account follow-up.

This is not an entry-level insurance position. Insurance customer service experience is required, and previous Allstate experience is strongly preferred. An active Property and Casualty license is preferred; however, we may consider a highly qualified insurance professional who is able to obtain one promptly.

You will join a busy, growing insurance agency where accuracy, responsiveness, accountability, and genuine customer care matter. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of customer needs, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and work effectively with both our sales and service teams.

Compensation starts at approximately $50,000 annually, with final compensation based on licensing, relevant insurance experience, and qualifications. Bonus opportunities may also be available.

If you are bilingual, experienced in insurance, and ready to become an important part of a growing agency, we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

-Assist English- and Spanish-speaking customers by phone, email, text, and agency systems

-Handle billing questions, policy changes, ID cards, proof of insurance, mortgagee and lienholder updates, renewals, and general account service

-Explain coverage, policy changes, billing concerns, and next steps clearly in both English and Spanish

-Identify and address customer concerns that could lead to cancellations or lost business

-Review accounts for coverage gaps, missing documents, renewal concerns, and follow-up opportunities

-Process service requests accurately and within expected timeframes

-Document customer conversations and completed work in agency systems

-Coordinate with sales and service team members to resolve customer needs

-Manage multiple customer requests while remaining organized and attentive to detail

-Follow agency procedures, carrier requirements, and applicable compliance standards

-Build long-term customer relationships through responsive and dependable service

Requirements

-Fluent verbal communication in both English and Spanish

-Previous insurance customer service experience

-Property and Casualty insurance experience

-Working knowledge of personal lines insurance, including auto, home, renters, and umbrella policies

-Experience handling billing questions, endorsements, renewals, documentation, coverage questions, and customer concerns

-Active Illinois Property and Casualty license preferred

-Three or more years of insurance customer service experience preferred

-Previous Allstate agency experience strongly preferred

-Excellent telephone, written, and interpersonal communication skills

-Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits

-Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of customer requests

-Comfortable using insurance carrier platforms, agency management systems, email, phone, and texting tools

-Dependable, accountable, coachable, and able to work well with a team

-Able to work full-time from the agency office
