Java Web Application Developer - Fluency in Mandarin is Required

Full‑time

We are a leading wholesaler of restaurant and food service supplies and equipment, distributing across North America and headquartered in Bergen County, NJ. We are currently seeking a Web Application Developer to join our fast‑growing team.

The Web Application Developer will assist a great team in the development and delivery of next‑generation order processing and accounting applications. A good candidate should have a can‑do attitude, work well in a cross‑functional environment, be a self‑starter, quick learner, and a great team player. The company offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to design and code solutions
  • Develop Java SE/J2EE web‑based user interfaces, rich internet applications, and n‑tier application architectures
  • Use SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 to write and maintain database code
  • Support legacy applications
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with team members and stakeholders
  • Maintain teamwork across project teams and work independently when required
Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Experience managing projects from inception to completion
  • Proven expertise in developing and delivering multi‑tier enterprise applications
  • Experience with Java‑based web application environments and frameworks such as Apache, Tomcat, Eclipse, and Spring
  • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of database interactions (SQL Server, views, stored procedures, functions, etc.)
  • Proficient in object‑oriented programming, software design, and testing methodologies
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English
  • .NET knowledge is a plus
