Job description

Title: ECommerce Test Lead 

Must have Skills: commerceTools ,  eCommerce platforms SFDC, Shopify, BigCommerce, or similar/

Experience: 10 + years

Location: Houston TX

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Onsite QE Lead to drive end-to-end quality for a new eCommerce platform being built from scratch. This role owns overall QE delivery and works closely onsite with Project Managers, Business teams, Development, and QE leadership to ensure a high-quality, scalable eCommerce solution. The platform may utilize Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFDC), Shopify, or BigCommerce.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead QE strategy and delivery for the eCommerce program.

• Define test strategy, test plans, quality gates, and release readiness criteria.

• Act as the single point of accountability for quality across the project.

• Collaborate onsite with Business, Product, Project, Development, and QE Managers.

• Lead and mentor QE team members (manual and automation).

• Ensure comprehensive testing of eCommerce features including catalog, pricing, promotions, cart, checkout, payments, orders, and integrations.

• Drive test automation strategy (UI, API, integration) and CI/CD alignment.

• Track and report quality metrics, risks, and status to leadership.

• Support UAT, production readiness, and go-live activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Testing

• 2+ years in a QE Lead role

• Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms (SFDC, Shopify, BigCommerce, or similar)

• Strong knowledge of web, API, and integration testing

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work onsite and engage daily with cross-functional teams

Preferred

• Experience with automation frameworks and DevOps/CI-CD pipelines

• Knowledge of performance, security, and accessibility testing

• Experience supporting large-scale eCommerce launches
