Introduction:

Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply is one of the largest regional independently owned and operated Welding, Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases distributors in the Southwestern U.S., with locations in Gallup and Milan, NM, and Cortez and Durango, CO. This document outlines the role, responsibilities, and expectations of the Location Manager at Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply (FCWG) and Big Mike’s Rentals (BMR) in Gallup, NM.

Role Overview:

The front counter inside salesperson position is responsible for interacting with customers at the point of sale, processing transactions, and providing excellent customer service.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Required: High School or equivalent

Key Responsibilities and Other Duties:

  • Exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, acknowledging all customers promptly, and assisting them with finding products and providing information
  • Answer phone inquiries
  • Be informative about products, promotions, and store policies, and maintain advanced product knowledge
  • Keep the front counter area clean and organized
  • Assist with stocking shelves and inventory
  • Assist with warehouse duties
  • Ensure accuracy of daily cash drawer
  • Clear communication and foster a cohesive and collaborative work culture
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • All other duties assigned by Management

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong customer focus and team orientation
  • Sales and phone skills
  • Cash handling
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use the Point-of-Sale system

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

Physical Demands:

Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulders, gripping, reaching with hands and arms, carrying, and climbing up and down stairs. Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and keyboard operation. Visual abilities, near and far vision, depth perception. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Work Hours/Salary

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with rotational Saturdays from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Rate of Pay: $14-$15
