Your Opportunity
We're looking for an ICT Designer to join our Buildings Government Services team.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Technical day-to-day design of Telecommunications, Security and Audio Visual (A/V) construction documents with guidance from senior staff.
  • Coordinate and prepare schematic design, design development, and construction documents with emphasis on Technology requirements (Telecom, Security, A/V).
  • Building expertise with the latest design software (Revit) and BIM modeling.
  • Perform site condition surveys.
  • Review contractor submittals.
  • Routinely support multiple design teams (projects) and deliver results, managing your time and contributions effectively to meet varying deadlines.
  • Produce quality work using technology and methodologies that create innovative approaches to building design.
  • Travel for this position anticipated < 5% for cross-office collaboration and on-site client engagement.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Fundamental understanding of inside-plant (ISP) and outside-plant (OSP) telecommunications design.
  • Thoroughness in design coordination and contract document development.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a multi-office technology systems group.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering ideal. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in the installation and maintenance or design and specification of Technology Systems (Telecom, Security, A/V) preferably supporting projects for clients in such building sectors as government, healthcare, higher education, mission critical, science & technology.
  • Preferred certifications: BICSI RCDD, Avixa CTS or CTS-D, ASIS PSP, GIAC GSLC or ISC2 CISSP.

Pay Range:
• Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas-$85,700.00 - $124,300.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
