Description:

The Litigation Paralegal will assist the Legal Department and Claims personnel by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review, research, investigations, fact checking, and legal group litigation reporting. This position is fully remote.



Job Responsibilities


  • Meets with attorneys and claims professionals to discuss assigned projects.
  • Drafts legal documents including subpoena responses, affidavits, and insurance coverage correspondence.
  • Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys to assist with legal requests.
  • Assists attorneys with document production on subpoenas and compliance matters.
  • Develops and maintains reporting on litigated matters.
  • Maintains spreadsheet on approved defense and coverage attorneys.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.

  • Paralegal certificate required.
  • Previous insurance industry related experience preferred.
  • Litigation experience preferred.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith starting compensation is being provided. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - 85,000/year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
