About the Role

To design and optimize data workflows, pipelines and infrastructure that power business intelligence reporting, financial analytics, and IT performance monitoring. This role collaborates with BI developers, analysts, and IT teams to deliver reliable, timely, and governed data solutions that support compliance, operational efficiency, and strategic insights across the financial services organization. This includes being able to effectively articulate the language of business and technical teams; possess an understanding of business and data strategy and have demonstrated ability to collaborate with IT, business lines, and functional areas to build data solutions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist in working with the Database Administrative Analyst and business line stakeholders to evaluate business data gaps and work with business lines for appropriate steps to remove dependencies to move projects forward and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Collaborate with business line analysts to integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with Software Development, business line analysts, and leadership to research and resolve data issues.
  • Build and maintain enterprise datasets for data projects, working closely with senior data engineers and analysts to ensure data is available, cleansed, and curated.
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
  • Complete UAT on data related projects.
  • Creation of post loads and scheduling of code jobs using enterprise scheduling software and coordination and release of code changes to production.
  • Monitor and review business line report alerting to maintain reporting infrastructure and resolve issues.

Skills and Qualifications

  • PC skills, including understanding of SQL, Excel, Word, enterprise scheduling, Power BI, Snowflake, and Cloud Database experience.
  • Strong technical skills, business intuition, and organizational ability.
  • Excellent problem solver, disciplined attention to detail.
  • Good communicator with the capacity to learn, adapt to change, and become proficient quickly.
  • Under supervision, train to act as internal consultant, building relationships with partners, understanding requirements, and translating business needs to technical requirements. Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information or unexpected circumstances.
  • Regular and reliable attendance. Ability to manage stress, exercise self-control, adhere to company policies.
  • Post-secondary education required with 2-4 years' experience preferred.
  • Must possess an understanding of credit card systems and have good technical abilities. Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, Snowflake, Tidal and AWS cloud is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
