Role Overview
The AES Group INC is seeking an experienced Azure Synapse & Power BI Developer to support data engineering, analytics, and reporting initiatives. You will build scalable data pipelines, transform and optimize data in Azure Synapse, and deliver meaningful insights through Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong SQL and data modeling skills with a practical, performance-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
  •  Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics
  •  Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to support large datasets and analytics workloads 
  •  Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and semantic models 
  •  Translate reporting and analytics needs into efficient technical solutions and visual outcomes 
  •  Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability across pipelines and reporting layers 
  •  Tune SQL queries, Synapse workloads, and Power BI models for performance and usability 
  •  Integrate data from cloud and on-premise sources into curated analytics layers 
  •  Follow data governance, security, and access best practices within Azure ecosystems 
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years in data engineering, BI development, or analytics engineering 
  •  Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
  •  Strong Power BI skills, including DAX, data modeling, and report development 
  •  Advanced SQL with performance tuning and optimization experience 
  •  Experience with Azure Data Factory or comparable orchestration/ETL tooling
