Job description

Job Summary:
Kenco Group is a leading 3PL provider in the U.S. that values innovation and a strong commitment to its employees. The BI Developer III position involves being the subject matter expert for business intelligence reporting, responsible for designing and developing BI solutions to meet company needs while supporting Advanced Data Analytics efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Answer any technical questions (researching as needed) and lead the BI Team in Power BI technical innovation.
• Gather requirements from all necessary corporate business sponsors for future BI development.
• Communicate requirements to the BI Team for planning and translate to technical specifications for the ETL Team.
• Design, develop, test, and validate dashboards/reports, based upon best practices, using Power BI.
• Assist end-users with necessary training to make them proficient users.
• Document processes, flows, policies, and procedures and other misc. tasks as assigned by the Manager.
• 24/7 rotational on-call BI technical support.
• Routinely perform analysis and make presentations to key business take holders, including customers.
• This position supports the Kenco Operating System (KOS) model of cultural transformation through the integration of operational excellence principles across the enterprise.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or University in Information Technology, Statistics or related field is required.
• 5-7 Years of experience with financial, human resource, and risk management applications, data, and metrics.
• 5-7 Years gathering requirements and designing/developing Power BI dashboards.
• 5-7 Years of experience in SQL development.
• 2-4 Years of experience with AWS infrastructure support (EC2, Step Functions, Lambda).
• 2-4 Years of experience with Power BI Administration through QMC.
• BI Requirements Gathering: People networking and documenting and translating requirements to ETL/Technical Specs.
• Advanced Power BI Development: Data Modeling, Data ingestion, DAX, Dashboard design/development.
• Power BI Administration - Proficiency in: Governance and tenant settings, licensing and workspace management, row-level security, deployment pipelines, gateways and data connectivity.
• Understanding of data warehouse purpose and design practices (schema types, typical structure, SSMS).
• General understanding of MS Active Directory.
• Keen eye for detail and thoughtful investigation of data before relying upon it.
• Depth and breadth in quantitative analysis knowledge.
• Excellent quantitative modeling, statistical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
• Masters preferred.
• 3-5 Years of Warehousing/Logistics/Transportation Industry experience preferred.
