Engineer – Technical Value Management (TVM) Engineer – ICE Powertrain Cost Reduction
Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $42.30/hour
Contract Length: 1 Year Contract
Benefits: 2 Weeks PTO & 9 Paid Holidays
Position Overview
The Technical Value Management (TVM) Engineer supports cost-reduction initiatives across Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) powertrain systems. This role collaborates closely with Design & Release (D&R) engineers, program teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and implement engineering changes that generate measurable product cost savings. The ideal candidate combines technical powertrain expertise with project management, data analysis, and value engineering experience to drive cost optimization initiatives from concept through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
•    Generate and implement cost-saving opportunities across powertrain systems.
•    Support annual TVM cost reduction objectives.
•    Identify design, material, manufacturing, and supplier cost-reduction opportunities.
•    Develop business cases and technical justifications.
•    Coordinate activities across multiple vehicle and powertrain programs.
•    Lead cross-functional meetings and drive action-item completion.
•    Maintain implementation schedules, work plans, and savings forecasts.
•    Analyze engineering and cost data.
•    Prepare leadership reports, presentations, and implementation summaries.
•    Track savings realization and support financial validation.
•    Support continuous improvement and value engineering process development.
