Job Summary:
InterSources Inc is a leader in innovative solutions for delivering and analyzing billions of ads annually. They are seeking a BI Business Analyst to work in a collaborative environment, focusing on data modeling, business intelligence reporting, and data governance.
Responsibilities:
• Understands the basics behind business intelligence reporting including data sourcing, filtering, new variable calculations, historical maintenance and data stewardship. This is data maintained centrally and used across the organization by different groups.
• Create detailed instructions for the development team related to Reach Business Intelligence (RBI) initiatives and features.
• Work with the architecture team to, on occasion, define specifications for updates or changes to the RBI database or master data
• Aid the Product Owner with data management, facilitating data governance, data stewardship and data quality
• Enjoys digging into the data to profile it before starting a project to understand how well it represents the real world and where the gaps are.
• Triage issue tickets and research root causes.
• Working with business and technical SMEs to utilize, enhance, and monitor the quality of that data through development, testing, and in live production.
• Detail-oriented, yet able to move forward efficiently in the face of unanswered questions Communicate issues clearly while working toward a deadline.
• Continuously striving for process improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Basic SQL experience: write simple queries and read complex SQL
• Basic understanding of Java and XML.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical skills in Reach technical areas.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, business or communications field.
• Experience with project management tools Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Ability to work with cross organizational teams to clearly understand and document RBI needs.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• Ability to work with large diverse teams.
• An understanding of the Agile process.
