Job Title: Art Instructor Reports to: Principal Location: Gilbert Elementary Campus Position Type: 10 months, Part-Time Job Description Benjamin Franklin Charter School is looking for an Art Instructor to join our Elementary Team for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities
  • While under the direct supervision of the Principal, the Teacher will plan, organize, and implement the school's instructional program in a learning environment that motivates and guides students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
  • Support BFCS Vision, Mission, and Goals.
  • Promote and adhere to BFCS policies and procedures.
  • Provide a safe, structured environment focused on academic excellence.
  • Create a learning environment that is engaging and conducive to effective instruction; maintain standards of student behavior.
  • Prepare and follow lesson plans correlated with the prescribed curriculum and pacing guides.
  • Communicate learning objectives to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language.
  • Monitor and assess student progress; provide ongoing feedback to students and parents.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis to discuss students progress
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records as required by law and school policy.
  • Reflect on teaching practices and strive to improve professional competence.
  • Assume responsibility for meeting classroom and school-wide student performance goals.
  • Attend staff meetings, participate in curriculum development programs and serve on committees as required.
  • Participate in school-wide events, scheduled meetings, and parent conferences.
  • Meet any additional specific job requirements as indicated by the school site or District.
