Job description

Sr. Identity consultant to be onsite in Houston three days a week for a customer.  I would love to have all these items (Identity, Architecture, Governance, Microsoft) of experience.

•             Area – North of Downtown.  Closer to Woodlands.

Job Description: As an Sr. IAM and Identity Architect or Engineer, you will define and implement the architecture for identity management within our organization. Your role will ensure secure, efficient, and scalable access to our digital resources, aligning with business objectives while upholding the highest security standards, particularly utilizing BeyondTrust and Microsoft Azure Entra ID.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Architecture Design: Design comprehensive IAM frameworks, including identity lifecycle management, access governance, and advanced authentication mechanisms using BeyondTrust and Azure Entra ID.

·      Strategy Development: Develop IAM strategies that incorporate BeyondTrust solutions for privileged access management and Azure Entra ID for broader identity management, ensuring alignment with compliance and security policies.

·      Implementation Oversight: Lead the deployment of IAM technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and future scalability, focusing on SAML 2.0 configurations for SSO with both BeyondTrust and Azure Entra ID.

·      Policy and Standards: Establish and maintain IAM policies, standards, and procedures for regulatory compliance, with an emphasis on integrating these with cloud services.

·      Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments to tailor IAM solutions, translating needs into technical requirements for BeyondTrust and Azure Entra ID implementations.

·      Security Enhancement: Continuously improve IAM systems to counter emerging threats, particularly through the capabilities of Azure Entra ID and BeyondTrust''s security features.

·      Audit and Compliance: Manage regular IAM audits, focusing on configurations for BeyondTrust and Azure Entra ID, ensuring all processes meet legal and regulatory standards.

·      Innovation: Keep updated with new features in Azure Entra ID and BeyondTrust products, recommending innovations for organizational benefit.

·      Documentation: Document all IAM architectures, processes, and operational procedures related to the used technologies.

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

·      Proven experience as an IAM Architect or in a similar role, with a track record in implementing IAM solutions, particularly with BeyondTrust and Azure Entra ID.

·      Deep knowledge of IAM technologies including Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, but with a focus on Azure Entra ID and BeyondTrust products.

·      Understanding of related standards and technologies (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP, Active Directory).

·      Certification in IAM or related cybersecurity fields (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SC-300 Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate) is highly desirable.

·      Experience with configuring SAML 2.0 for Single Sign-On (SSO) with Azure Entra ID and integrating BeyondTrust for privileged access management.

·      Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles, compliance requirements, and data privacy laws.

·      Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex IAM concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

·      Excellent understanding of NIST 800-701 Controls
