Shift/Schedule: Fri-Sun | 6 PM- 6 AM

Pay:  Base + Shift Differential: $29.50/hr.

Position Overview:

Filler Operator is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of their assigned production filler, associated process system, and packaging equipment as necessary.  At this level, the operator is proficient in sterilization, operation, and sanitation responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

Operates and observes production line equipment to ensure food safety, product quality and conformity meeting customer standards and specifications  

Is proficient in Sterilize-in-Place (SIP), operation and Clean-in-Place (CIP) functions of assigned filler  

Performs repair functions including moderate Preventative Maintenance (PMs)  

Performs start up, troubleshooting/adjustment, stop/reset and shutdown of line equipment - Clears jams and reports malfunctions to Business Lead/Supervisor as necessary  

Performs changeovers - Completes line clears and accurately sets up next item's packaging and coding   

Reports out of standard/specification results to the Quality Department and Business Unit Lead/Supervisor  

Reports on unsafe conditions or other compliance issues to the Business Unit Lead/Supervisor 

Completes handwritten instructions and on-line documentation including Quality and Critical Control Point (CCP) checks accurately and at the required frequencies 

Maintains accurate and detailed work log (including Factory MES data collection) and inventory records  

Monitors and reviews inventory and production levels to achieve the most efficient operating conditions  

Maintains assigned work area and production environment in clean orderly condition - completes environmental cleaning requirements as necessary 

Actively participates in shift exchanges and work team meetings.  

Safely operates forklifts as needed to keep assigned work area supplied with necessary production materials 

Collaborate with various work teams and can share work experience with other employees

Other duties as assigned 


Requirements

What You'll Need:

Demonstrated organizational, detail orientated and observational skills

Basic mathematical calculation skills   

Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions in the English language   

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - often with limited supervision   

Ability to work effectively under time constraints  

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting diversity.      

2 years of manufacturing, packaging or assembly line production experience - ideally in food, food processing, high-speed packaging or Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) industries   

High school or equivalent diploma 

Previous forklift experience   

Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and related software - ideally Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)   

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and PM experience   

Technical knowledge of aseptic filling/processing and associated equipment
