JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Business Development Rep -Total Beverage
(Liquor, Wine, Beer, Non-Alcoholic & Mixers) FLSA: Exempt
Department: Sales - Off Premise Last Updated: May 2026
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Total Beverage Representative is responsible for managing and growing a defined sales territory through the execution of a total beverage strategy, selling liquor, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and mixers across all assigned accounts. This role operates as an independent contributor, owning account relationships, driving sales growth, and executing company and supplier initiatives, with support and guidance from sales leadership. Strategically leverage portfolio of products to sell and service assigned accounts in order to meet company objectives for volume and distribution.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Territory Ownership & Sales Growth
  • Manage and grow all assigned accounts within the territory, driving volume, revenue, and market share
  • Sell and promote a full portfolio of liquor, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and mixers
  • Identify new business opportunities, open new accounts, and expand distribution within existing accounts
  • Develop and execute territory-level sales plans aligned with company and supplier goals
  • Analyze sales performance and adjust strategies to maximize results

Account Management & Execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with on- and off-premise customers
  • Ensure consistent account coverage through organized routing and scheduling
  • Execute promotions, pricing strategies, displays, and merchandising standards
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, product placement, and point-of-sale execution
  • Act as a trusted advisor by sharing product knowledge and category insights across all beverage segments

Market Intelligence & Brand Execution
  • Monitor competitive activity and communicate insights to leadership
  • Support supplier initiatives, brand standards, and in-market activations
  • Stay informed on trends across spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic categories
  • Represent the company and its brands professionally in the marketplace

Collaboration & Development
  • Partner with sales leadership for coaching, development, and performance feedback
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ride-withs to enhance skills and effectiveness
  • Continuously build knowledge across all beverage categories to support a total beverage selling approach
  • Communicate with route drivers in order to resolve customer needs.
  • Is responsible for successful completion of Brew U Training modules.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Must use own means of transportation (i.e. vehicle) to get from account to account in order to service customer accounts/venues.
  • Must be able to regularly unload products, which averages 40 lbs., but can weigh up to a maximum of 49 lbs. from delivery vehicle and transport into customer accounts.
  • Requires ability to move easily around account premises in order to inventory current stock levels and display P.O.S.
  • Able to rotate product in coolers and on shelves.

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
  • Previous Liquor sales experience (Minimum of 5+ Years)
  • Strong knowledge of liquor, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and mixers
  • Valid D driver's license required.

Working Conditions:
  • Regular exposure to extreme temperatures, outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock, chemicals, machinery with moving parts, high places, and loud noise.
