Dental Hygienist

Roswell Dental Care is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to join our patient-centered dental team. We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented, and dependable hygienist who is committed to providing excellent clinical care while helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for.

The Dental Hygienist plays an important role in supporting the overall health of our patients by providing preventive dental care, periodontal therapy, patient education, and thorough documentation. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, organized, friendly, and able to work collaboratively with the dentist and team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and other preventive services.
• Review patient medical and dental histories and update records accurately.
• Perform oral cancer screenings, periodontal charting, gingival assessments, and evaluation of oral health conditions.
• Take diagnostic dental radiographs as prescribed and ensure proper imaging quality.
• Apply fluoride, sealants, desensitizing agents, and other preventive treatments as appropriate.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, home care, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Identify signs of periodontal disease, decay, oral pathology, or other concerns and communicate findings to the dentist.
• Accurately chart clinical findings, treatment provided, and patient communication.
• Maintain proper infection control, sterilization, and OSHA/HIPAA compliance standards.
• Assist in creating a positive, comfortable, and respectful experience for each patient.
• Work collaboratively with the dentist, clinical team, and administrative team to support efficient patient care.
• Maintain treatment rooms, instruments, supplies, and equipment in accordance with office protocols.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Georgia.
• Associate degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy, preventive care, radiographs, and patient education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Minimum Qualifications

• 1–2 years of dental hygiene experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience with digital radiographs and dental practice management software.
• Comfortable discussing periodontal findings and patient home care.
• Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with patients.

Schedule

This posting is for a full-time position. Specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview process, but generally the hours are Monday through Thursday 8am to 5pm.
