JOB TITLE: BESS - Senior Energy Storage Sales Position

DEPARTMENT: Electrical Power Solutions

SUPERVISOR: Executive VP of Electrical Power Solutions


SUMMARY: Electrical Power Solutions (EPS), a division of Lightserve Corporation, delivers electrical projects in power distribution, standby generation and lighting and is growing its presence in the energy storage market as an EPC provider. We are looking for a high-performing senior sales leader to drive BESS growth across commercial, industrial, and utility markets. The ideal candidate brings proven EPC sales experience, a strong track record of winning business, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships in a rapidly expanding market.

This position will embody Lightserves core values, exemplifying them with the utmost integrity. Employee will represent Lightserve and their department with the highest regard in both external and internal communications, ensuring a standard of excellence in all interactions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within the C&I sector for behind-the-meter BESS projects, directly and in partnership with other EPS sales team members.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing of deal.
  • Conduct site assessments and energy audits to understand customer needs, including analysis of utility bills, load profiles, and demand charges.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, project development, and finance teams to design customized solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, financing options and commercial terms with corporate decision- makers, facility managers, and sustainability officers.
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales targets.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to represent the company.
  • Support sales team with BESS opportunities.
  • Travel is necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, energy management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of proven sales experience in BESS, Microgrid, or other Renewable EPC programs.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting/exceeding multi-million-dollar quotas in complex EPC sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of demand charge management, time-of-use optimization, backup power, and microgrid concepts.
  • Strong technical and/or financial knowledge of BESS technologies with focus on EPC implementation.
  • Experience with financial modeling (Xendee and other modeling programs), energy bill analysis, and incentive programs and work with finance team on modeling.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to translate technical concepts into a strong value proposition.
