Job description

Berkeley Eye Center seeks outgoing dependable bilingual individual with vision care experience for the position of Optometric Scribe at our Greenway Plaza & Sugar Land locations.


This position will be responsible for assisting an Optometrist during the patient exam by documenting the exam (test results, doctor's Q & A, doctor's instructions, etc.) in the Electronic Medical Record system.


A good fit for this position is a person who has 3+ years’ experience in a vision care practice. English & Spanish fluency is a must. Scribe experience in an eyecare practice a plus.


Must be familiar with "vision care” terminology and have previous experience with Electronic Medical Records. Outgoing, engaging personality, able to multi-task, change priorities as need arises. Strong data entry skills, excellent communicator, reliable, punctual, honest.


Expected Schedule:

MONDAY-THURSDAY: 8 AM – 5 PM
FRIDAY: 7 AM – 2 PM


Note: This position will provide scribe coverage 2 days/week in Sugarland. Mileage reimbursement is available based on IRS guideines.
