Job description

Your craftsmanship can help feed a region

Imagine walking into a bustling commercial kitchen and knowing the stainless counters, panels, and fixtures were formed by your hands. At J&K Commercial Construction, that’s the reality. We build custom stainless-steel solutions for restaurants, hospitals, schools, casinos, correctional facilities, and commercial foodservice operations across the Pacific Northwest.

What success looks like

You take a set of fabrication drawings, map out bend sequences, select tooling, and program a CNC press brake for a short-run order. You verify bend allowances, measure twice, form once, and deliver parts that meet spec the first time. You’re the partner welders and fabricators rely on to keep high-mix, low-volume projects moving.

Core responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC press brakes to form stainless and other sheet metals
  • Read/interpret shop blueprints; confirm dimensions and tolerances
  • Perform one-off and short-run setups with precision
  • Determine bend sequences and choose appropriate tooling
  • Use precision measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares, protractors)
  • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy; adjust and troubleshoot as needed
  • Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and shop teams to meet deadlines
  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs safely
Your background
  • Minimum 2 years of press brake experience
  • Experience forming stainless steel and general sheet metal
  • Confident reading fabrication drawings/blueprints
  • Mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and pride in your work
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills
  • Open to earning forklift, industrial safety, and CPR certifications after hire
Standout experience
  • CNC press brake programming and advanced setup
  • Custom (non-production) fabrication environments
  • Precision sheet metal manufacturing methods
  • Stainless-steel fabrication expertise
What we provide
  • Competitive pay tied to experience
  • Full-time, year-round stability
  • Paid, hands-on training and ongoing development
  • Health benefits
  • Paid holidays and vacation
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Modern fabrication equipment
  • Clean, professional environment
  • Advancement opportunities in a fast-growing company
Tools, tech, and strengths
  • Primary machine: Press Brake (CNC)
  • Strengths we appreciate: equipment troubleshooting, CNC machine setup & changeover, machine setups for production runs, tool/die/mold setup experience, blueprint reading, experience in a manufacturing environment, and solid computer skills

If you’re ready for variety, autonomy, and a career that grows with you, join J&K and help build the Pacific Northwest’s finest custom stainless-steel projects.
