Schedule: Monday - Friday
Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30pm (Overtime is required)
Pay Range: $18.50 - $18.50 per hour
Location: Tracy, CA
Empire Workforce Solutions is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented Machine Helper to join a manufacturing team. This position supports the foam grinding operation by continuously feeding foam scrap into the shredder and maintaining proper material levels for production. The ideal candidate is physically capable, safety-conscious, dependable, and highly attentive to detail. Strong attention to detail is essential to identify materials correctly, monitor product quality, follow production procedures, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Job Responsibilities
  • Continuously feed various types of foam scrap onto the shredder in-feed conveyor.
  • Inspect foam scrap and ensure it is free of foreign materials such as metal, wood, plastic, and other contaminants before processing.
  • Manage foam storage bins to maintain adequate material levels for production.
  • Maintain the quality of processed foam.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around the shredder and grinding equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to grinding and granulating equipment as needed.
  • Clean magnets and baghouse equipment in the foam storage bins daily.
  • Identify and report product, process, or quality issues.
  • Help implement solutions to prevent quality or production problems.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and workplace conduct policies.
  • Work effectively with team members to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient production area.
  • May be required to participate as a member of a confined-space team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or material-handling experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to follow safety and production procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to frequently change from one task to another.
  • Must be comfortable working around industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift and repeatedly bend, twist, lift, push, and pull heavy materials.
