Armed Security Officer- (Saturdays & Sundays)

Armed Security Officer

Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Pay Rate: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour

Role OverviewThe Armed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires the ability to carry a firearm and respond to potential threats with professionalism, sound judgment, and adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Officers conduct routine patrols, monitor surveillance systems, verify access credentials, and respond to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activities. Success in this role requires strong situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while delivering exceptional customer service.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid ASRB License, or ability to obtain one.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • County-issued Concealed Carry License, or ability to obtain after successful background screening.
  • Successful completion of armed security training and possession of a valid pistol permit.

Duties & Responsibilities

Security Operations

  • Conduct regular walking patrols to ensure site safety and identify potential security concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification and credentials.
  • Enforce security procedures in accordance with Security Post Instructions and client requirements.

Incident Response & Reporting

  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and suspicious activities using established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed reports, logs, and records of daily activities.
  • Perform routine security functions, including locking and unlocking doors, operating security systems, and monitoring surveillance equipment.

Customer Service & Professionalism

  • Assist employees, visitors, and guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Enforce client and SEI policies regarding smoking, loitering, parking, and other site-specific requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance at all times.

Required Skills & Abilities

Minimum

  • Ability to work in fast-paced and potentially stressful environments.
  • Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
  • Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and vigilance.
  • Ability to remain calm, think critically, and respond effectively during emergencies.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to use tablets or electronic reporting systems.

Preferred

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
